What can I do if I have been aggrieved or treated unfairly by another?
Generally, a person aggrieved by a contracting party or in a civil setting (as opposed to criminal) would have a right to seek legal recourse against the opposing party. To be entitled to any form of compensation, the person aggrieved must show that he has suffered some form of losses. He must also be vigilant in prosecuting his claim against the other as there is generally (there are many exceptions) a time limitation of 6 years from when the cause of action arises. The time as to when a cause of action arises is not straightforward and depends on the factual circumstances.
What must I do when I am served with court papers?
How long does it take to recover a debt from a contracting party?
Can a director of a company be sued by the company?
Can a person be sued for breach of trust?
